Our clients tasked us with designing and building a cozy, traditional, craftsman-style home for them in the Vista Ridge community. This home had unique demands that included a self-contained bed and breakfast suite, an artists’ studio, and a space for live music get togethers. From the moment of arrival, you feel the warmth of this home’s personality. Steep roof lines and bold, exposed truss details combine with hardiboard siding and custom stained soffits. This magnificent waterview residence, graced by soaring ceilings and wall to wall windows, is perfect for gazing at the Gibsons Harbour from multiple vantage points, and encapsulates the vision of our clients’ dream home.
Nicholson Enterprises was one of the first builders to establish a showhome in the desirable Vista Ridge community, thereby setting the standard. We designed and built this captivating home as a showhome, to demonstrate our innovative design and high standards of quality construction. We designed a custom, open concept kitchen with a uniquely-shaped island featuring quartz countertops. This showpiece island performs flawlessly in conjunction with the work triangle, while doubling as a breakfast bar, serving centre, and a welcoming place to relax. This custom home was designed to maximize panoramic ocean views with floor to ceiling windows, allowing an abundance of natural light to pour in.
For this project, our client wanted to emulate the traditional craftsman and beach styles which brought back memories of growing up in California. This contemporary 4 bedroom, 4 bath, three story home was designed around a magnificent ocean view and constructed into the side of a steep, sloped rockbluff. This home integrates seamlessly into its surroundings by incorporating extensive custom woodwork throughout. We designed this home with our clients’ needs at the forefront of every decision. We combined a variety of elements such as tray ceilings, vaulted ceilings, stained soffits, and custom woodwork to bring their dream to a reality. This custom home build truly reflects that magical merging of inspiration and architecture.
Perched on the hillside of desirable Upper Mission, this home emphasizes the panoramic views of Okanagan Lake. Especially designed to follow the shape of the home site, this spacious open-concept home captures amazing southwest views that extend to the Okanagan Valley. We created a distinctive presence for the home that begins the moment you walk through the entrance. With custom tiling and vaulted ceilings that are carried through the the home, this open concept floor plan is all about the details. The beautiful mahogany hardwood floors and plenty of natural light flow integrate beautifully into the natural setting.
